Peter Kobzar is an experienced leader in the electrical utility sector, with over 30 years of expertise in operations, infrastructure delivery, and strategic supply chain management. He recently retired from British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority, where he held key leadership roles in supply chain and utility operations. His career focused leading complex, high-value projects that integrate engineering, operations, and commercial strategy.

In his most recent roles, Peter managed strategic supply chain initiatives valued at several hundred million dollars annually, supporting major equipment acquisitions and associated field services. He led strategy development, procurement, contract negotiations, and supplier management for multiple long-term, high-value contracts, collaborating with a diverse range of advanced suppliers worldwide.  This is where Peter honed his skills as a commercial negotiator.​

Peter's professional journey underscored the critical importance of two prevailing requirements to drive value -- sound commercial strategy and skilled negotiations.  This inspired the creation of Kobzar Commerical Advisory; a specialized consulting practice dedicated to helping clients build resilience and value over the long term.
